Antony Varghese's Poovan release postponed

The film is directed by debutant Vineeth Vasudevan

Antony Varghese-starrer Poovan, which was originally scheduled to hit screens on January 6, has now been pushed to Jan 20. The makers are planning to share the trailer on Jan 6. The film is directed by debutant Vineeth Vasudevan, who played a notable role in Super Sharanya. He is also popular for starring in the recent viral short film, Anurag Engineering Works.

Billed as a fun entertainer, Poovan addresses some important issues of society through a humour-laden narrative. It is scripted by debutant Varun Dhara. Sajin Cherukayil, Vineeth Vishwam, Vineeth Vasudevan, Varun Dhara, Girish AD, Maniyanpilla Raju, Rinku Ranadeer, Anishma Anilkumar, Akhila Bhargavan, Bindhu Sati and Sunil Melepuram are part of the supporting cast.

The film has Sajith Purushan as the cinematographer and Akash Joseph Varghese as the editor. Rorschach-fame Midhun Mukundan is handling the music department. The film is backed by Shebin Backer and Super Sharanya director Girish AD under the banners of Shebin Backer Productions and Stuck Cows, respectively.
