Varane Avashyamund director Anoop Sathyan seems to have pulled off a casting coup of sorts for his next.

If reports are to be believed, his sophomore film will have Mohanlal, Naseeruddin Shah, Shobhana, and Mukesh as the leads. It will mark Naseeruddin Shah's comeback to Malayalam cinema after a gap of almost three decades. His only Malayalam film is the TV Chandran-directed classic, Ponthan Mada (1994), which also starred Mammootty.

Billed as a road film, the upcoming multi-starrer will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. It is reported that the makers are planning to begin shooting in May. It will be Mohanlal's immediate next after wrapping up the ongoing Lijo Jose Pellissery film, Malaikottai Valiban.
