Mohanlal-starrer Alone is set to have its digital premiere on Disney + Hotstar on March 3. Directed by Shaji Kailas, the film had its theatrical release on January 26. It opened to largely negative reviews and ended up having a dismal run at the box office.

Alone, scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman, is a single-actor film set during the pandemic. While Mohanlal alone appears on screen, actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Siddique, Suresh Krishna and Nandu did voice acting for various roles in the film. The makers had initially locked it as a direct OTT release, but later changed their plans after theatres resumed functioning normally.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is busy shooting for Lijo Jose Pellissery's Malaikottai Valiban. The film reportedly has him in a wrestler's role. Shaji Kailas, on the other hand, is working on Hunt, a thriller with Bhavana as the lead.
