Jis Joy's next with Biju Menon and Asif Ali titled Thalavan

Director Jis Joy's new film starring Biju Menon and Asif Ali has been titled Thalavan. On Saturday, a motion poster got released, in which both the actors are seen in police uniforms. According to the makers, it is a mass investigative-thriller set in rural Malabar. Dsebutants Anand Thevarkatt and Sharath Perumbavoor have scripted the film.

Thalavan marks Jis Joy's fourth outing with Asif Ali after Bicycle Thieves, Sunday Holiday, Vijay Superum Pournamiyum and Innale Vare. Similarly, Asif has also had frequent collaborations with Biju Menon. Some of their noted films include Ordinary, Pakida, Hi I'm Tony, Vellimoongaand Anuraga Karikkin Vellam.

The upcoming film also stars Anusree, Miya, Dileesh Pothan and Kottayam Nazeer. Deepak Dev is the composer, while Sharan Velayudhan and Sooraj ES handle the cinematography and editing, respectively. Arun Narayan Productions and London Studios are together producing the film.

Asif Ali is currently on a three-month rest after suffering an injury during the shoot of Tiki Taka, directed by Rohit VS. Biju Menon, meanwhile, has completed shooting for debutant Riyas Shereef's ThunduMaradona-fame Vishnu Narayan's Nadanna Sambhavam and Meppadiyan director Vishnu Mohan's Kadha Innuvare are his other upcoming films.
