Perilloor Premier League, the Disney+ Hotstar series, starring Nikhila Vimal and Sunny Wayne is set to stream from January 5. Recently, the makers released its trailer which gave an overall idea of what to expect from the show.

The story is centered around Malavika, played by Nikhila Vimal, who lands in a village named Perilloor to find love with her boyfriend Sreekuttan. However, she unexpectedly ends up becoming the region's Panchayat President, turning her life upside down. With its rustic setting and the presence of several characters and subplots, the show has a Kunjiramayanam feel to it. It is worth mentioning that the show is written by Deepu Pradeep, who also scripted the Basil Joseph directorial.

Perilloor Premier League, directed by debutant Praveen Chandran, also stars Vijayaraghavan, Ashokan, Aju Varghese, Sarath Sabha and Sajin Cherukayil. It has cinematography by Anoop V Shylaja and Ameel, while Mujeeb Majeed handles the music. Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi are backing it under the banner of E4 Entertainment.
