A sequel for Kannur Squad is in the offing, revealed the film's director Roby Varghese Raj during a recent media interaction. Roby said that an idea for the second part was in the plan during the scripting itself. However, he refused to reveal any further details.

Hitting screens on 28 September, the film garnered positive response from all corners. It also emerged as a box office blockbuster, with the makers claiming earnings of over ₹100 crores from overall business. Mammootty produced the film under his banner, Mammootty Kampany. It is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
