In a recent media interaction, actor-writer Vishnu Unnikrishnan revealed that a sequel for the 2015-released hit film Amar Akbar Anthony is in the works. The film, which marked the directorial debut of Nadhirshah, starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya and Indrajith Sukumaran as the leads. Vishnu along with Bibin George scripted the film. It remains to be seen if the second part will also be lead by the same set of actors.

On the acting front, Vishnu was most recently seen in Dance Party, which hit screens on Friday. Directed by Sohan Seenulal, the film also stars Sreenath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko and Prayaga Martin in prominent roles.

Vishnu is currently working on Idiyan Chandhu, written and directed by Sreejith Vijayan, who earlier directed Kuttanadan Marppapa, and Margamkali. An actioner with stunts choreography by Peter Hein, Idiyan Chandhu has Vishnu playing a student's role. He is also producing it along with Sreejith Vijayan, Shafeek, Subair and Rayees.
