Earlier, we had reported that Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty would be making his directorial debut with a Malayalam film titled Otta with an ensemble cast including Asif Ali, Arjun Ashokan, and Indrajith. On Sunday, the makers of the film announced that the film's teaser will released on August 30. It has also been announced that the film will be released in October, but a date is still to be revealed.
Otta stars an ensemble cast, including Sathyaraj, Adil Hussain, Indrans, Renji Panicker, Jayaprakash, Jayakrishnan, Baiju Pookutty, Rohini Molleti, Bhavana Ramana, Devi Nair, Mamata Mohandas, Divya Dutta and Jalaja.
Children Reunited LLP and Resul Pookutty Productions are jointly producing the film. Written by Kiron Prabhakar, Otta is inspired by the life of social worker S Hariharan.
The film's technical crew consist of cinematographer Arun Varma, editor Zian Sreekanth and music director M Jayachandran.
