The makers of the upcoming Dhyan Sreenivasan-starrer Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna have recreated the popular song Vellarapoomala Mele from the 1989-released Sathyan Anthikad directorial, Varavelpu. While the original song was penned by Kaithapram, composed by Johnson and sung by KJ Yesudas, the latest version is reworked by composer Arun Muraleedharan and sung by Unni Menon.

Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna, billed as a comedy entertainer, is written and directed by newcomers Vijesh Panathoor and Unni Vellara. Set in the rural areas of Kannur, the film revolves around two youngsters named Kannan and Vidyadharan. While Dhyan Sreenivasan plays Kannan, Aju essays the role of Vidyadharan. Others in the cast include Sudheesh, Nirmal Palazhi, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Navas Vallikunnu, and Sohan Seenulal. Faizal Ali serves as the cinematographer and the edits are done by Rathin Radhakrishnan. While Arun Muralidharan composed the songs, Sankar Sarma handled the background score.

Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna, produced by Vilas Kumar and Simi Murali under the banner of Cinematica Films LLP, is set to hit screens on September 15.
