Vaathil, the upcoming Malayalam film starring Vinay Forrt, will hit the theatres on August 31. The upcoming film is directed by Sarju Remakanth.

The trailer of the film, which was released earlier, indicated that the film would be a psychological thriller. The film also stars Anu Sithara, Krishna Shankar and Merin Philip in pivotal roles. 

Vaathil, also starring Anjali Nair, Sunil Sugatha, Unniraja, VK Baiju, and Sminu Sijo, is scripted by Shamnad Shabeer. Manesh Madhavan, who won the recent Kerala State Film Award for his work in Ela Veezha Poonchira, is the cinematographer. Composer Sejo John and editor Johnkutty are also part of the technical team. The film is produced by Suji K Govindraj under the banner of Spark Pictures.
