Actor Yogi Babu, who is best known for his comedic/ character roles, predominantly in Tamil films, joins the cast of the upcoming Malayalam film Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. Directed by Vipin Das, who recently delivered the hit Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph in the lead roles.

Kunjiramayanam-fame Deepu Pradeep has penned the script of Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, which is backed jointly by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Yogi Babu was last seen in Kajal Aggarwal starrer Ghostly, and the actor's upcoming outing will be Yaanai Mugathaan. He also has various films in different stages of production, including Sathuranga Vettai 2, Andhagan, and Jawan, among others.
