Shoot for Dulquer Salmaan's new film King of Kotha commenced recently in Tamil Nadu. The film marks the directorial debut of Abhilash Joshiy, who is the son of veteran filmmaker Joshiy.

Billed as an action-packed gangster drama, the film's cast is getting better by the day. After Aishwarya Lekshmi and Nyla Usha, latest to join the team is Gokul Suresh. The actor was last seen in Joshiy's Paappan, in which Abhilash worked as the creative director. This is also the first time Dulquer and Gokul are acting together.

King of Kotha is scripted by Abhilash Chandran, who penned Joshiy's hit film Porinju Mariam Jose. Nimish Ravi, who shot Dulquer Salmaan's Kurup and Mammootty's upcoming film Rorschach, is the cinematographer. It is backed by Dulquers' home production, Wayfarer Films.
