Aanaparambile World Cup, the upcoming Malayalam film starring Antony Varghese, is set to release on October 21. Directed by Nikhil Premraj, the film is said to be a sports drama with fantasy elements. It is produced by Stanley CS and Faizal Latheef under the Achappu Movie Magic and Mass Media Production banners.

Aanaparambile World Cup also stars Balu Varghese and Lukman, IM Vijayan, Adil Ibrahim and PK Danish, who became an internet sensation last year for striking a zero-degree goal. The film follows a young boy, Ummar, and his six friends, who are all ardent football fans and players.

The film was reportedly shot in Malappuram and Ladakh and IM Vijayan’s son Aromal Vijayan has choreographed sports sequences. The technical crew includes cinematographer Faiz Siddik, music composer Jakes Bejoy and editors Noufal Abdullah and Jith Joshie.
