CE Features

Mammootty seems to be on a signing spree with several promising projects in his lineup. If reports are to be believed, he is also in talks with Anwar Rasheed for a new film. Buzz is that it is scripted by RJ Murugan, who has acted in films like Kammattipaadam, and Thamaasha. An official announcement is still awaited.

Anwar Rasheed made his directorial debut in 2005 with the Mammootty-starrer Rajamanikyam. They also later worked together in Annan Thambi (2008). Anwar Rasheed, who started off with mass entertainers, has of late been doing content-oriented films. It will be interesting to see how his rumoured project with Mammootty turns out.

Mammootty is currently shooting for the Jeo Baby directorial Kaathal, which also stars Jyotika. Meanwhile, his last release, Rorschach, is doing well at the box office along with garnering critical appreciation. The actor next has Christopher, directed by B Unnikrishnan, gearing up to hit screens. His much-awaited film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, helmed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, is set to be screened at this year's International Film Festival of Kerala in December.

Besides these aforementioned projects, Mammootty is also in talks with cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj for his directorial debut.
