Mohanlal's upcoming film Monster is slated to hit screens on October 21. Ahead of the release, the actor noted that the film is a treasure trove of surprises. In a video byte shared by director Vyshak, Mohanlal said, "According to me, as an actor, I feel there are a lot of surprise elements in the film. Besides, the subject of the film is unique. Perhaps, this would be a first-of-a-kind in Malayalam. The script is the hero and villain in Monster and seldom do actors get to act in such films. So I am happy to have worked in this film."

Monster is billed as an investigative thriller in which Mohanlal plays the role of Lucky Singh. While Uday Krishna scripted the film, the film also stars Siddique, Lakshmi Manchu, Honey Rose, Ganesh Kumar, Lena, and Sudev Nair in prominent roles. Backed by Aashirvad Cinemas, Cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor Shameer Muhammad and music director Deepak Dev are part of the core technical team.
