The 44-year-old was suffering from a rare disease called Amyloidosis

Cinematographer Sudheesh Pappu, popularly known as Pappu, has passed away. The 44-year-old was suffering from a rare disease called Amyloidosis.

Pappu started his career by assisting Rajeev Ravi in Chandni Bar (2001). He continued to work with him in films like Sesham, Dev D, and Classmates. He was also the second unit DOP in the Rajeev Ravi-directed films Annayum RasoolumKammatipaadam, and the upcoming Thuramukham.

Pappu made his debut as a cinematographer with Second Show (2012). His other works include Rose Guitarinaal, Njan Steve Lopez, Koothara, Ayaal Sassi and Eeda.

Pappu last worked on the Sunny Wayne-starrer Appan. However, he backed out of the film halfway due to health issues. Vinod Illampally completed the remaining shoot.
