The Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Kurup, which was released on November 12, 2021, completed one year on Saturday. Directed by Srinath Rajendran, the film turned out to be one of the first Malayalam theatrical outings to become a blockbuster hit.

Celebrating the one-year milestone, the actor put out a gratitude post. He wrote, "Celebrating one year of Kurup! The biggest game changer for us at Wayfarer Films. A film that gave us the courage and guts today to believe in our collective dreams. Today as a company I believe we can attempt anything and we will see it through and give you all spectacular & memorable movie experiences."

He extended his gratitude to the "incredible cast, the hard-working crew, all partners of Kurup, and the viewers across the world for embracing the film and giving it so much love." "Special shout-out to Anish Mohan for being rock solid and standing by us through the toughest days," he added. (sic)
