We had reported that Abrid Shine has directed Nivin Pauly and Asif Ali in his new film Mahaveeryar. The makers released a first look poster.

Kannada actor Shanvi Srivastava, who recently starred in Rakshit Shetty's Avane Srimannarayana, plays the female lead. Mahaveeryar has a script by M Mukundan and also stars Siddique and Lal.

Nivin's production house Pauly Jr Pictures is bankrolling the film jointly with Indian Movie Makers. The film sees Asif and Nivin reuniting after a decade. They last starred together in Rajesh Pillai's Traffic and Joshiy's Sevenes.
