Kaapa certified U/A

Directed by Shaji Kailas, Kaapa  stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali and Anna Ben in the lead roles

The makers of Kaapa have announced that the film has been certified U/A. With the final hurdle before release done, the film is now all set to hit screens on December 22. Theatre bookings have already been opened.

Directed by Shaji Kailas, Kaapa  stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali and Anna Ben in the lead roles. The film also features Dileesh Pothan, Nandu, Jagadish, Biju Pappan and Senthil Krishna in supporting roles.

Scripted by GR Indugopan, the film is based on the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 2007, popularly known as the Kaapa act. It aims for effective prevention and control of certain anti-social activities in the State of Kerala. The technical crew includes cinematographer Jomon T John and editor Shameer Muhammed.

Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu Abraham, and Dileesh Nair are producing Kaapa  under the banners of the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Writers Union and Theatre of Dreams. Mumbai-based Yoodlee Films are also on board as the producers.
