Filmmaker Manoj Kana has expressed his displeasure with OTT platforms after an upsetting experience with the OTT service Action OTT on which his film, Kenjira, was launched recently. In a press conference, Manoj alleged that the platform had behaved irresponsibly.

Announced as the platform's inaugural film, Kenjira ran into technical difficulties, leaving users exasperated. The filmmaker is said to have incurred heavy financial losses on account of this. He has stated that he has initiated legal proceedings against the platform.

Kenjira is a chronicle of the oppression, struggle, and survival of Wayanad's Paniya tribe. The State and National award-winning film, released on August 17 on Action OTT, has been withdrawn from the service. It will now stream on Neestream on September 7. Scripted by Manoj Kana, the film is co-produced by Ner Films.
