We had reported earlier that Girish AD, who made an impressive directorial debut with the high-school coming-of-age drama Thanneer Mathan Dinangal (TMD), is back with his second feature, Super Sharanya.

The makers have released a second-look poster that announces the release of the campus story in theatres in January 2022. A release date is yet to be confirmed.

Starring Anaswara Rajan and Arjun Ashokan as leads, the film reteams Girish with TMD's producer Shebin Backer.

Naslen, who attained popularity through TMD, is also part of the film. The cast members include Vineeth Vasudevan, Vineeth Vishwam, Bindu Panicker, Sajin Cherukayil, and others.

Sajith Purushan handles the camera, and Akash Joseph Varghese is on the edits. Justin Varghese is composing music for the film while Suhail Koya pens the lyrics.
