Following his elimination from Bigg Boss Kannada Season 13, theatre artist and actor Avinash Shatamarshana opened up about his three-week stint in the reality show, maintaining a candid stance on why the format and its atmosphere failed to connect with him.

Reflecting on his journey during a post-eviction media interaction, Avinash stated bluntly that he has no intention of following the show going forward. "I will definitely not watch the Bigg Boss show from now on," he remarked. "To this day, I have never even turned on the TV as a viewer; I simply don't have the habit. It’s not just this show—even when I acted in TV serials, I never watched them, and I've rarely watched the movies I've starred in more than once or twice."

Avinash explained that his inherent nature clashed directly with the house dynamics, emphasising that artificial adjustments were never an option for him. "I didn't go into the Bigg Boss house after rehearsals. Rehearsals are for theatre plays, not for being real. I cannot alter my nature," he said. Pointing out the friction among contestants, he added, "Over there, contestants don't follow rules, they speak foully, show zero respect to anyone, and steal food. How does one live among such people? I didn't connect with or like anyone there, though I hold immense respect for the Bigg Boss platform itself." He noted that he would only ever tune in if an exceptionally compelling personality appeared on screen with whom he could genuinely connect.

During his exit stage appearance, host Kiccha Sudeep observed that Avinash’s personality was fundamentally unsuited for a show of this nature—an assessment the actor readily accepted. Meanwhile, his wife, Bheema fame actress Priya Shatamarshana, turned emotional on stage. Reciting lines from Saint Shishunala Sharif’s philosophical composition "Taravalla Tagi Ninna Tamboori," she remarked that the strategic, manipulative mechanics of the game simply did not align with her husband's worldview.
