The anticipation around actor Dhananjaya’s upcoming film, Anna From Mexico has grown rapidly, thanks to the huge response to its dance song, ‘O Puttamalli Nee Kelu Illi’. Released recently, the track has already crossed five million views on YouTube and gone viral online, inspiring over 50,000 reels on Instagram.
Post the success of ‘Bangle Bangari’ from Ekka, ‘O Puttamalli’ has become the latest big hit in Kannada chartbusters. Composed by Vasuki Vaibhav, the song features lyrics written by director Chethan Kumar and vocals by Sanjith Hegde.
This is a rare, full-on dance number for Dhananjaya in recent years. In the video, he dances alongside female lead Reeshma Nanaiah. Choreographed by Bhushan Master, the catchy dance steps and the duo's energy have made the track popular on dance reality shows and social media, giving the film a major promotional boost.
Anna From Mexico brings Dhananjaya back together with director Shankar Guru after their hit comedy Badava Rascal. The movie features a well-known cast, including Umashree, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Nagabhushana, Poornachandra Mysore, and Huli Karthik.
Produced by Channaraj B Hattiholi and Mrinal under the Aaira Films banner, in collaboration with Sathya Rayala and Jaanvi Rayala of Rayala Studios, the film has cinematography handled by AJ Shetty and SK Rao. With buzz building around its music, Anna From Mexico is scheduled to hit screens across Karnataka on December 24.
