The makers of the upcoming film starring Malashree and Rukmini Vasanth, have revealed that the film is titled Mangala Gowri. Hemanth M Rao, who previously directed Rukmini on the Saptha Sagaradaache Ello films, is backing Mangala Gowri under his Dakshayani Films banner, along with Venkat K Narayan who is backing the film under the KVN Productions banner.
Cinema Express learnt in April that Rukmini Vasanth had stepped into the project, which had already began production. Filming on Mangala Gowri has not yet wrapped. The upcoming film is directed by Rahul PK, who has written the film along with Pooja Sudhir.
While complete details of the film's plot and characters are yet to be revealed, Malashree will play Mangala, alongside Rukmini, who plays policewoman Gowri. The characters are teased to go on a life changing journey together.
The crew of Mangala Gowri includes composer Midhun Mukundhan, director of photography Srivathsan Selvarajan, editor Vishal Krishnamurthy, production designer Bharath Yuva, and action director Vikram Mor.
Malashree was last seen in Calendar. Meanwhile, Rukmini was last seen in the KVN backed actioner Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
