Shreyas Manju is gearing up for the release of his next outing, Dildar, helmed by debut director Madhu Gowda Gangur. The makers officially kicked off their promotional campaign by unveiling the high-energy dance track 'Cool Brother' and locking December 11 as the film's release date. Actor Sriimurali graced the event as the chief guest to launch the number composed by Arjun Janya and rendered by Chandan Shetty.

Lauding the young lead, Sriimurali stated, "Shreyas has a very bright future. When they asked if I could dance to a number like this, I said it wouldn't be easy for me, but Shreyas has pulled off great moves."

Speaking on the sidelines of the launch, Shreyas asserted that the film is strictly designed as an escapist commercial entertainer. "There is no heavy messaging or preachy lecture here. It is a clean, two-hour entertainment film where the audience can just walk in and have fun," he said.

Commending his director’s perseverance, Shreyas added, "Madhu didn’t even own a bike or car; he took public buses every day to make this happen. That level of honesty toward cinema is rare. Also, credit must go to Bhajarangi Loki sir. Main actors often take all the applause, but without a strong antagonist holding the scene, a hero's performance falls flat."

Director Madhu Gowda Gangur revealed that the project was conceived as a campus romance before the casting was finalised. "When I wrote the script, I envisioned an energetic young lead for an out-and-out commercial film. Seeing Shreyas in Padde Huli convinced me he was the right fit," Madhu explained, adding, "The title Dildar signifies a completely carefree guy. Nearly 80 per cent of the film was shot across college campuses in Mysuru, alongside schedules in Maravanthe, Sakleshpur, Bengaluru, and Thailand. Beneath the comedy and commercial beats, the story addresses how the younger generation often undervalues personal and familial relationships."

Keerthi Krishna, the niece of actors Sharan and Shruti, is making her debut with the film. "I play a college fresher while Shreyas plays a super-senior, which leads into an interesting dynamic and a unique love triangle," said the artiste.

Backed by R Santhosh Kumar (SVT) under the Ancient Movies banner, Dildar also stars Sadhu Kokila, Chandraprabha, and KGF-fame Avinash in pivotal roles.
