At the Ramayana: Rise of a Legend event in Bengaluru, Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman spoke about mounting the musical canvas for Nitesh Tiwari's two-part epic alongside producer Namit Malhotra (Prime Focus Studios / DNEG) and co-producer cum actor Yash (Monster Mind Creations). The music director called the project a cultural milestone.

"This is an extraordinary film, an extraordinary vision, and an extraordinary effort by Namit, Nitesh sir, Yash, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and the whole team," Rahman said.

Addressing his rare joint collaboration with legendary Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer, Rahman explained that the score is designed to bridge cultural divides without losing its spiritual foundation. "Collaborating with Hans Zimmer is something that brings two worlds together. We have been talking, exchanging ideas, and working to create a soundscape that represents India's soul, but reaches the world. Our stories have that timeless spiritual depth. When we present our culture on this scale to a global audience, the music must carry that sacred reverence while speaking to every listener across the world."
