Director Suri has officially unveiled the first-look teaser of his long-awaited project, Kaage Bangara. The teaser is now out on GP Features. Produced by Harshith R Gowda under the HRG Productions banner, the film brings fresh faces into Suri’s signature neo-noir terrain, headlined by Surya Prakhyath and Rithanya Vijaykumar. Dedicated in memory of the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, the 77-second promo immediately immerses viewers in the director's trademark atmosphere: dimly lit alleys, raw street confrontations, and gritty realism laced with dark humour. Surya Prakhyath appears in a rugged, scruffy avatar alongside character actor Prashanth Siddi, who plays a key accomplice. The teaser also hints at recurring narrative threads, including a prominent wall scrawl referencing the underworld moniker 'Chemical Jagga'.

For Suri, Kaage Bangara represents an expansion of the universe he established with Kendasampige (2015) and continued in Popcorn Monkey Tiger (2020). While initially perceived as a prequel when announced years ago, the makers have clarified that the project functions as a direct sequel, tracking the cascading aftermath of events across this criminal landscape.

Speaking about the title, Suri noted, "Kaage Bangara deals with the space between truth and deceit, where illusions take over." The project marks an important cinematic milestone for Rithanya Vijaykumar, daughter of Vijay Kumar, who was launched in her father's film Landlord, directed by Jadeshaa K Hampi. Kaage Bangara will be her second project. The ensemble cast includes acclaimed filmmaker-actor Natesh Hegde, who plays the antagonist in Suri's directorial venture. The film also stars Nandakishore, Ashwin Kumar HS, Karthik, Pavan Nagesh, Malla, and Dileep. On the technical front, Kaage Bangara reunites Suri with several frequent collaborators. Surendranath and Amri Kesari penned the story, and Amri Kesari handled the screenplay. The dialogues are jointly written by Suri and Amri Kesari. Charan Raj has composed the music and background score, with cinematography by Shekar S (DFD) and editing by Deepu S Kumar.
