The film Mahima has been officially selected for the prestigious International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA Toronto). Known as North America’s largest South Asian film festival showcasing cinema across all regional languages, the festival will host the grand premiere of Mahima on October 17. Prior to this international achievement, the film was screened at the Bengaluru International Film Festival and the recently held AKKA convention. It is presented by Krishna Creations and produced by Kiran Bhartur, Veena Bhartur, and Naveen Kumar under the banner of Dreams Media Canada—with co-production by Govindaraju and Shashidhar Reddy of Gokula Entertainers, and directed by Naveen Kumar.

Kiran Bhartur, a prominent entrepreneur based in Toronto, previously produced the film Raju James Bond, released last year, and has successfully distributed over 50 Kannada films in Canada through Dreams Media.

Marking his feature film directorial debut, Canada-based entrepreneur and acclaimed short-film director Naveen Kumar has also penned the story and screenplay for Mahima.

Set entirely in Canada, the film follows a suspenseful plot: Mahima, living in Toronto, accidentally hits a young Canadian woman with her car one night while traveling with her cousin Sanvi, and flees the scene. Consumed by guilt, Mahima finds herself haunted by the vengeful spirit of the deceased woman. When a series of mysterious deaths strike Mahima's family, Detective Arya steps in to investigate, ultimately unearthing the chilling truth behind the spirit.

Popular Canada-based vlogger Pragya Jain, originally from Dakshina Kannada, plays the titular role of Mahima. The star cast also includes Raghuram (Malgudi Days), Bieta Nicole Amre, Kavyashree, Paul Hopkins, and Manjula Rane.

Expressing their joy over the international selection, producers Kiran Bhartur, Veena Bhartur, and director Naveen Kumar shared, "We are thrilled by the warm reception our film received at the Bengaluru International Film Festival and the AKKA convention. Being selected for screening at IFFSA Toronto—a prestigious festival celebrating South Asian cinema with thousands of attendees—is a proud moment for us. We look forward to producing many more quality films under our banner in the future."
