The makers of Sri Krishna have launched the film’s first song, 'Udho Udho Yallavva', marking the beginning of its promotional campaign. Led by actor-director-producer Shankar Raj Varma, the film has been completed and is currently in post-production, with the team now shifting focus to building momentum ahead of its release.

The newly released track carries a strong devotional and folk flavour, hinting at the emotional core of the narrative. Written, composed, and sung by MS Thyagaraj, with additional vocals by Sarayu, the song is designed to blend seamlessly into the story rather than function as a standalone number. Music is said to play a crucial role in the film, with five songs composed to align closely with the narrative’s progression.

Backed under the Brihaspati Creations banner, Sri Krishna is jointly produced by Shankar Raj Varma along with Ajay Kumar and a team of collaborators. The film features Chaithra Totad as the female lead, alongside a cast that includes Pradeep Poojari, Bhuvan Gowda, Sneha, and Eshwar Shetty.

At its core, the film revolves around the lives of three orphans, with Chaithra’s character playing a central role in the narrative. Their circumstances draw them into a conflict that eventually lands them in prison, and the story follows the events that unfold after their escape. The film is expected to blend drama and emotion with a grounded, character-driven approach.

With cinematography by Anirudh and editing by Keerthiraj, Sri Krishna is shaping up as a music-driven narrative that leans on both sentiment and storytelling. The release of 'Udho Udho Yallavva offers an early glimpse into its tone, as the team prepares to unveil more promotional material in the coming weeks.
