On the occasion of Rama Navami, fans of the Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, expected an update from the film, but the absence of new material on a day closely tied to the story, left many underwhelmed.

Producer Namit Malhotra later shared a note, explaining the delay and offering clarity on what lies ahead. He described Ramayana as a story carrying deep meaning for audiences and said the team is taking its time to present it with care. He also confirmed that the next glimpse, focusing on Ram, will be released on April 2, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti.

The date is also significant because it coincides with Namit Malhotra’s birthday. The update has shifted attention from the missed Ram Navami moment to what the team plans to unveil next.

The film had previously released a three-minute first look in July 2025, introducing Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Yash as Ravana. The cast also includes Sai Pallavi playing Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

The film is being made on a large scale, with a reported budget of around ₹4000 crore, and is planned as a multi-part project. On the music front, Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman are working together, adding to the film’s international appeal.

Industry circles also suggest that Faisal Malik may be playing Kumbhakarna, with some portions of the film already shot in Mumbai.
