The release date of First Night with Devva, starring Bigg Boss Kannada winner Pratham as the lead, has been officially announced. The film, which has received a U/A certificate is set to hit theatres across Karnataka on April 3. The trailer has already been released, with veteran actor Srinivasa Murthy unveiling it and extending his best wishes to the team.

Primarily an entertainer, the film is a horror-comedy written by Pratham himself, with direction by PVR Swamy Googaredoddi. According to Pratham, the film’s dubbing and satellite rights have been sold for a good price, and the project has been designed with entertainment as its core focus.

The story revolves around a newly married man who discovers immediately after his wedding that his wife is actually a ghost. What follows forms the crux of the film—whether his first night will happen or not. Pratham stated that he has written the story and screenplay, and expressed confidence that the film has turned out well, adding that the team is eagerly waiting to present it to audiences in theatres.

Director PVR Swamy mentioned that although Pratham is known for his strong speaking skills, his character in the film has minimal dialogue. He also noted that this marks his 53rd film as a cinematographer and his fifth as a director.

The film stars Nikhita Swamy as the female lead, alongside actors Jeevitha, Srinivasa Murthy, Ramesh Bhat, Mimicry Gopi, Tukali Santosh, and Sushmitha. Actress Sushmitha appears in a ghostly role, while Harish Raj plays the antagonist. The film features music by Advik Varma and includes two action sequences choreographed by Thriller Manju.
