The bilingual Kannada-Telugu short film Shravani, directed by Mulbagal-based filmmaker Vikram Kumar, is gearing up for its digital release on June 26. The 35-minute romantic drama, starring Harsha Kalyan in the lead role and produced by Ashok Modi, will premiere simultaneously on the Non Stop Entertainment OTT platform and the TMP Picture YouTube channel.
The film recently drew attention after a special screening at Victory Cinemas in Bengaluru witnessed a houseful audience—an impressive feat for an independent short film. The overwhelming response has boosted the confidence of the cast and crew ahead of the digital launch.
Speaking about the project, director Vikram Kumar described Shravani as the first major step toward fulfilling his long-held dream of becoming a film director. Made in both Kannada and Telugu, the short film combines elements of love and emotion and is planned as a two-part story, with the first installment releasing this month.
Lead actor Harsha Kalyan said the film helped him realize his ambition of becoming an actor after years of working in the film industry. The cast also includes Rani M Angadi, Deepa, Srivaishnav, and Ranganath in key roles.
Backed by producer Ashok Modi, who believed in the story from the outset, Shravani features cinematography by Vijay Monterio and music by Rohit Poojary, including a melodious song that complements the film’s emotional narrative.
After receiving an encouraging response at its premiere screening, Shravani is expected to reach a wider audience through its free digital release on June 26, marking a promising beginning for the young filmmaker and his team.
