The makers of Patthedari, an upcoming crime thriller, unveiled the film's first look poster in the presence of several film industry personalities. Written and directed by Srinivas Jayaram, the upcoming film is produced by Mohammed Atheeq under the AK Productions banner.  Patthedari marks newcomer Kizhar's acting debut in a lead role, and is Srinivas Jayaram's return to direction after Gajapade.

Speaking about the film, Jayaram said that while crime thrillers are a familiar genre, Patthedari aims to stand out with its unique screenplay and narrative treatment. Inspired by several investigative thrillers, he has developed a story centred on four key characters. The director revealed that Kizhar was the right choice for the lead role. Alongside him, actors Giri, Roopa, and Siddesh play pivotal characters in the film. Production is set to begin next month, with a major portion of the shoot planned in Bengaluru.

Expressing his excitement, Kizhar said he was immediately drawn to the story and his character. The debutant added that he learned the craft of acting by watching the performances of legendary Kannada stars such as Dr Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Shivarajkumar, and Puneeth Rajkumar, whom he considers his inspirations. Actor Siddesh praised the script and described his role as an interesting one, while actress Roopa said the film combines a gripping crime-thriller narrative with well-written characters.
