A new comedy reality show is looking to turn the spotlight on fresh talent from across Karnataka, and it comes with a judging panel featuring some familiar faces from Kannada entertainment. Mahaan Kiladi, produced by Minchu Entertainment, brings together actor Siddhu Moolimani, Mahesh Krishna, comedian Praveen Gasti and Mahadevaswamy, brother of Kannada star Ganesh, as key faces of the show.

Carrying the tagline, "The talent is yours, the stage is ours," the digital reality show has been created with the aim of identifying and nurturing emerging comedy talent. The initiative is led by Minchu, who first gained popularity through comedy-based reality shows before building a strong presence in the digital space.

According to the team, the idea emerged from a desire to create opportunities for aspiring performers. What started as a small project gradually expanded into a full-fledged reality show after receiving an overwhelming response from contestants across the state. More than 1,000 aspirants reportedly registered for auditions, with 22 participants eventually making the final cut after multiple rounds of selection.

Before facing the camera, the contestants underwent several weeks of training under industry professionals, giving the show a structured format that goes beyond a conventional talent hunt.

One of the biggest attractions of Mahaan Kiladi is its blend of experienced performers and industry personalities. While Minchu and Praveen Gasti bring their reality-show and comedy experience to the table, actor Siddhu Moolimani adds a strong cinema connect. Ganesh's brother, and actor, Mahesh Krishna and Mahadevaswamy, further strengthen the panel's industry presence. Chidambara Poojari serves as mentor, guiding contestants through the competition.

The show is directed by Kiran Kumar, with Dileep Kumar HR as Creative Head and Pallavi handling the script. Cinematography is by Akshay Mokashi, while editing is overseen by Sunil-Suresh.

The makers are placing Mahaan Kiladi as a platform that can bridge the gap between raw talent and mainstream opportunities. Episodes will stream on the Minchu Entertainments YouTube channel every Friday and Saturday, with the title song slated for release today.
