Rishab Shetty has emerged as one of the most sought-after actors and filmmakers across Indian cinema following the success of Kantara. His rise, many believe, is driven by relentless hard work, creativity, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to filmmaking. Veteran actor Jayaram, who worked with Rishab in Kantara: Chapter 1, has now shared what makes the filmmaker stand apart.

Speaking in a recent interview while promoting his Tamil film, Jayaram recalled his experience of working with Rishab Shetty and described him as someone who is involved in every aspect of filmmaking.

"Rishab was like mercury on the set—constantly moving. He was involved in every department of the shoot. Whether it was set construction, makeup, camera, or action, he would supervise everything and offer suggestions. From the moment he arrived on set until he left—and even after that—his mind was always occupied with the film," Jayaram said.

The veteran actor added that he has rarely seen a director as deeply invested in every stage of the filmmaking process.

"I have never seen another director who immerses himself in every department the way Rishab does. Even after my shots were over, I would stay back on set just to watch him work. There is so much to learn from him. Young filmmakers and actors should look up to him as an example," he said.

Jayaram plays a key antagonist in Kantara: Chapter 1 and essays the role of Rukmini Vasanth's father. Before this, he appeared in Shivarajkumar's film, Ghost. Though primarily a Malayalam actor, Jayaram has worked across all major South Indian film industries and is also known for his singing. A video of him singing one of Puneeth Rajkumar's songs had previously gone viral.
