Days before Tadviruddha's scheduled release on July 31, the film's producers have approached the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC), alleging that actor Suman Ranganath has not been cooperating with the film's promotional campaign despite being paid her full remuneration.
In a complaint submitted by production house Charmion Motion Pictures, the makers said that an agreement signed on April 7, 2023, required Suman to act in the film, dub for her role, and participate in promotional activities.
The producers also alleged that they had been trying to reach the actor and her manager, Shivu, through phone calls and WhatsApp messages for the past 30 days, but had received no response.
With the release just days away, the team said Suman's absence from promotional events could affect the film's publicity and result in financial losses. They have requested the KFCC to mediate the matter and help arrive at an amicable resolution before the film's release.
Directed by Vinod, Tadviruddha also stars Murali, Suchendra Prasad and several senior actors.
Suman Ranganath has not responded publicly to the allegations at the time of publishing.
