The promotional campaign for Yash's Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups appears to be entering its next phase. With the film set to arrive in theatres worldwide on August 26, attention has now shifted to its much-awaited trailer.
According to reports, the makers are planning to unveil the trailer on August 8 at a grand event in Bengaluru. While an official announcement is awaited, preparations are reportedly underway for a large-scale launch that could become one of the key promotional moments ahead of the film's release.
Interestingly, Bengaluru has been a part of the team's earlier plans as well. When Toxic was initially scheduled for a March release, the makers had reportedly planned a trailer launch in the city. However, the event was called off after the film's release date was postponed. With the new release date locked, the team is now gearing up to bring the trailer to audiences ahead of its theatrical release.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is said to be a high-voltage action thriller that explores the complexities of a father-son relationship. While the makers have kept the plot under wraps, the scale of the film and the buzz around Yash's character Raya and Ticket, have continued to fuel curiosity among audiences.
The film boasts an impressive technical crew, with Ravi Basrur composing the background score, while Vishal Mishra and Tanishk Bagchi have worked on the songs. The action sequences have been designed by Hollywood stunt choreographer JJ Perry along with India's celebrated action duo Anbariv, while acclaimed cinematographer Rajeev Ravi has handled the visuals.
The anticipation around Toxic has only grown after the release of its teaser, which offered glimpses of Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi. The song Tabaahi, featuring Yash and Kiara Advani, also became a talking point following its release.
Produced by KVN Productions and Yash, Toxic will release in Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam on August 26. The trailer launch is expected to provide a closer look at the world Geetu Mohandas and Yash have created, as the film heads towards one of the year's most anticipated releases.
