Niveditha Shivarajkumar’s Fire Fly impresses audiences at BIFFes

Niveditha Shivarajkumar, daughter of Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, made her debut as a producer with Fire Fly, which was showcased in the Kannada Competition section at the 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival. The film, directed by Vamshikrishna Srinivas, received much appreciation for its storytelling and performances. The cast features Anand Neenasam, Rachana Inder, Achyuth Kumar, and Sudharani in key roles, bringing depth and nuance to the narrative. Audiences at the festival responded positively, praising the film’s engaging story and emotional resonance.

Speaking after the screening, Nivedita said, “We are thrilled that Fire Fly was part of this year’s festival. It is an honour, and we sincerely thank the organisers for this opportunity.” Director Vamshikrishna Srinivas highlighted the film’s reach, adding, “It is heartening to see audiences from Karnataka, other states, and even abroad connect with the film. Fire Fly is also streaming on Prime Video, so more viewers can experience it.”

Cinematographer Abhishek Kallatti, present at the press interaction, spoke about how the visuals complement the story, enhancing both the emotion and the narrative’s impact.
