Chikkanna steps into a new avatar with Lakshmiputra

Vijay Swamy is directing Lakshmiputra

A Sharadhaa

Chikkanna, known for his effortless comic timing, is set to surprise audiences with an intense performance in Lakshmiputra. This marks his second role as a full-fledged lead hero after Upadhyaksha. The film’s first look, released around Sankranti festivities, presents the actor in rugged and emotionally charged tone.

The poster conveys a lot with minimal elements. Chikkanna is shown gripping a bull rope, his eyes filled with determination. This image hints at grit and deep-rooted emotion, moving away from light-hearted humor. Adding weight to this change is actress Tara, who plays his mother. This suggests that the heart of the story revolves around a powerful mother-son relationship.

AP Arjun, who has written the film's story, is also producing the film under his AP Arjun Films banner. Vijay Swamy, known for balancing mass appeal with emotional storytelling, is directing Lakshmiputra, and aims to bring a mix of action and sentiment, centered on family ties.

Apart from Chikanna and Tara, the film also stars Kuri Pratap, and Dharmanna. Music is by hit composer Arjun Janya, with lyrics by A P Arjun.

Production is overseen by Annapoorna Arjun, with Ravikiran Gowda as co-producer. Action choreography is by Mass Mada, while Girish R Gowda is handling the cinematography.
