Anup Rubens has returned to Kannada cinema after seven years with the film Seetha Payana. The pan-India project is directed by Arjun and produced under the Sri Ram Films International banner. Arjun is also acting in the film and serving as its producer, while Anup Rubens has composed the music.

The composer, who has worked on more than 80 films, is known for his simple melodies and contemporary sound. The songs from Seetha Payana have already started getting attention online. The first two tracks, 'Yavurig Hokkide Hudugi' and 'Asali Cinema', have been receiving good response on YouTube and social media platforms.

A third song 'Basavanna' featuring Dhruva Sarja was released recently and has also gained attention for its fresh beat and mass appeal.

Anup Rubens has earlier worked in Kannada cinema as well. He made his debut with Khushi Khushiyagi, starring Ganesh and Amulya. The song 'Are Are Matte Hridaya Haaditu' from the film became popular at the time. He later composed music for Seetharama Kalyana, starring Nikhil Kumaraswamy and Rachita Ram, which included the well-known romantic song 'Ninna Raja Naanu Nanna Rani Neenu'. He also composed music for Ganesh’s film Geetha before taking a break from Kannada projects.

In Telugu cinema, Anup Rubens has worked on several successful films such as Ishq, Prema Kavali, Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, Manam, Gopala Gopala, Soggade Chinni Nayana, and 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela. Many of these films are still remembered for their songs.
