The shooting of Cheetah, starring Prajwal Devaraj and Megha Shetty, has been completed. The film marks the directorial debut of popular choreographer Raja Kalai Kumar and concluded with the filming of a lavish duet song at Rockline Studio, shot on an elaborate set specially erected for the finale.

Produced by Prathibha under the Rajalakshmi Entertainment banner, Cheetah has sparked curiosity since its announcement, as it is Raja Kalai Kumar’s first film as a director after 25 years in cinema as a dancer and choreographer. Speaking at the wrap-up meet, he revealed that the story unfolds in a bustling marketplace. The film revolves around a young orphan who grows up in the market and becomes a fierce voice against corruption. Prajwal Devaraj plays this central character, who takes on illegal activities, including a powerful chemical mafia operating within the system.

Blending action, romance, emotion and sentiment, the film aims to offer a complete commercial package. Since the story is set largely in a marketplace, a massive set was constructed under art director Shivakumar’s supervision at the HMT premises, where most of the shooting took place. Additional schedules were held in Ramanagara and Kolar. The film features five songs and six action sequences, with around 150–200 junior artists participating in daily shoots. The supporting cast includes Rangayana Raghu, Shruti Hariharan, Chinni Prakash, Guru Jaggesh, Shivraj KR Pete, Telugu actor Sunil, Sridhar, Bala Rajawadi and Tennis Krishna.

Prajwal shared that his character is deeply loved by the diverse community that raises him, and in turn, he fiercely protects them. Megha Shetty described her role as something entirely new in her career. With grand production values and an energetic narrative, the team believes Cheetah will live up to its powerful title when it hits screens.
