While Aniruddh Bhat has been receiving widespread appreciation for his performance in Rakkasapuradhol, he has meanwhile chosen to shine a light on Raj B Shetty, expressing his gratitude in a deeply emotional letter that reveals the bond behind the scenes.
Produced by Dr. K Ravi Varma under the KN Entertainments banner and directed by Ravi Saranga, Rakkasapuradhol is a mystery thriller set in the remote village of Rakkasapura. The film follows Shiva, a police officer played by Raj B Shetty, as he investigates a series of chilling incidents in a village where superstition and fear dominate. Alongside Raj, the film features an ensemble cast including Archana Kottige, Swathishta Krishnan, B Suresh, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, and Aniruddh Bhat in a menacing villainous role.
In a note posted to Instagram, Aniruddh opens up about the journey of playing a villain. He reveals that he was initially nervous and uncertain about whether he could bring the character to life, but also recalls how Raj B Shetty’s encouragement gave him the confidence to embrace the role. More than a co-actor, Aniruddh describes Raj as a mentor and an elder brother, praising the patience, guidance, and humanity he witnessed on set. From sharing meals to calmly correcting mistakes, Raj’s support allowed Aniruddh to perform with conviction.
The letter also mentions the night of the climax shoot, Aniruddh felt he had faltered. Overcome with frustration, he walked away upset, only to be comforted by Raj, who reassured him. It was this mix of professionalism and genuine care that left a lasting impression on the actor.
Aniruddh concludes his letter with words that strike a deeper chord. He writes that cinema can be learned from anyone, but how to be a good human being, how to remain pure-hearted and full of love, he has learned from Raj B Shetty. He humbly acknowledges that there is still more to learn but credits Raj for instilling values that go far beyond acting.
As Rakkasapuradhol continues to make waves in theatres, Aniruddh Bhat’s heartfelt note offers a rare glimpse into the genuine mentorship, friendship, and human connection that often unfold quietly behind the camera, making the story of this film resonate far beyond the screen.
