Yash-starrer Toxic continued its theatrical run on Sunday, recording a fifth-day net collection of Rs 23 crore across India. The film earned Rs 23.00 crore net from 16,241 shows on Day 5, with box-office observers attributing the gradual slowdown in collections to the negative feedback surrounding the film.

In India, Toxic has recorded a gross collection of Rs 255.95 crore, while its net domestic collection stands at Rs 214.10 crore. The film has also recorded a moderate performance in overseas markets, earning around Rs 2.00 crore on its fifth day and taking its total overseas collection to Rs 29.25 crore.

Looking at the language-wise performance on Day 5, the Hindi version emerged as the biggest contributor, earning Rs 14.50 crore from 11,734 shows. The original Kannada version, despite having only 1,297 shows, recorded a strong 50% occupancy and collected Rs 6.40 crore. The Telugu version contributed Rs 1.40 crore, while the Tamil and Malayalam versions earned Rs 60 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively.

Txic’ opened to a massive Rs 101.10 crore on Wednesday, but its collections dropped sharply to Rs 37.65 crore on Day 2 with 26.6% occupancy. The film earned Rs 27.20 crore on Day 3 with 25.5% occupancy, followed by Rs 25.15 crore on Day 4 with 24.3% occupancy. On Day 5, Sunday, the film collected Rs 23.00 crore with 25.3% occupancy. Despite its blockbuster opening, the film has therefore witnessed a significant decline in daily collections. With its latest figures, Toxic has now grossed Rs 285.20 crore worldwide, including Rs 255.95 crore from India and Rs 29.25 crore from overseas markets.

Produced jointly by Venkat K Narayana and Rocking Star Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film stars Yash in the lead role, alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth, Balaji Manohar, Sudev Nair, Akshay Oberoi in key roles.
