Mythology, mystery and action come together in the teaser of Kurma Avatar, which draws inspiration from Lord Vishnu’s Kurma Avatar. While the teaser keeps much of the story under wraps, it hints at an expansive world that appears to bridge the ancient and the contemporary. Directed by Harsha Vardhan Kadiyaala, the film features an ensemble cast including Shivarajkumar, Sai Kumar, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Raj Tarun.
At the teaser launch, Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, fondly known as Shivanna, spoke about his experience on the project and the trust he placed in the film’s director.
“I hope the director is happy and satisfied with my performance,” Shivanna said, reflecting the humility with which he approaches his craft. He revealed that he was willing to put his faith in Harsha’s vision despite the filmmaker being new to the industry.
Shivanna also spoke about his growing association with Telugu cinema. Recalling his journey, he said he felt lucky in Telugu as he began with a special appearance alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna in Gautamiputra Satakarni (2017) followed by Peddi (2026), and is now happy to be part of Kurma Avatar.
The actor also recalled the lively atmosphere on set, particularly during the action sequences. According to Shivanna, the fight portions came with plenty of fun and energy, making the shooting experience enjoyable for the entire team.
His reunion with Sai Kumar was another highlight. Shivanna recalled their previous collaboration and expressed his desire to work with him again. He also had words of appreciation for Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, saying he has admired her performances and her vision as a director. He added that he hopes to get an opportunity to share the screen with her.
For Shivanna, however, the biggest motivation remains the audience. He said appreciation from viewers and the team gives an actor renewed energy to perform, experiment and take on new challenges.
