Actor Pranam Devaraj, younger son of veteran actor Devaraj and younger brother of actor Prajwal Devaraj, has taken a step towards marriage with his longtime girlfriend Namitha Gopal. The couple got engaged in an intimate ceremony on Wednesday, in the presence of family members and close friends.

The engagement brought together the Devaraj family for a special occasion. Devaraj and his wife were present to celebrate their younger son’s new beginning, while Prajwal Devaraj and Ragini Chandran were also part of the celebrations.

Pranam and Namitha, who have been in a relationship for some time, exchanged rings after receiving the consent of both families. One of the memorable moments from the ceremony was Pranam going down on one knee to put the ring on Namitha’s finger, and also cut a cake together during the celebrations.

Pranam comes from a family closely associated with Kannada cinema. His father Devaraj has had a long career in south Indian industry, while his elder brother Prajwal is an established actor. Pranam chose to follow the same path and made his debut as a leading man with Kumari 21 F. He later appeared in Son of Muthanna. Within the family and among close friends, he is affectionately known as ‘Chotu’.

Prajwal, his elder brother, is married his childhood friend Ragini Chandran in Bengaluru in 2015. The actor, who has done around 40 films, was last seen in Karavali.

While the engagement has now been celebrated with family and friends, the wedding date of Pranam and Namitha has not yet been announced.
