It seems the Covid lockdown days keep finding their way back to the silver screen. The upcoming film Lockdown 21 Days revisits the 21-day lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic, a period that brought life across the country to a sudden standstill. For millions, it meant financial uncertainty, job losses, isolation and a struggle to make ends meet. The film is set to revisit those difficult days, blending the harsh realities of the pandemic with a love story that unfolds during the crisis.

Directed by debutant duo Madhu Mohan and Machayya, the film aims to capture the struggles faced by ordinary people during the lockdown while also focusing on the strength of human relationships. The film, which combines a social message with a romantic story set against a difficult period, recently had its muhurat ceremony at Sri Bande Mahakali Temple in Bengaluru.

Madhu Mohan and Machayya, who have previously directed several successful short films, are making their feature-film debut with Lockdown 21 Days. Director Abhishek Shetty, known for Nam Gani BCom Pass, attended the muhurat ceremony and extended his best wishes to the team.

Speaking about the film, the directors said they had always dreamed of making a feature film after working on short films. They thanked producer Aruna Yadav for believing in their story and giving them the opportunity to bring it to the big screen.

Produced by Aruna Yadav under the Aruna Yadav Film House banner, the film brings together both experienced and new actors. Anil CK, Aruna Yadav, Priyanka Raj, Manju Nanjanagudu, Akshay, MK Matt and Chandan Gowda will be seen in important roles.

Producer Aruna Yadav said the team was proud to bring a story that is closely connected to society and gives a voice to the emotions of ordinary people. The shooting of Lockdown 21 Days is expected to begin soon.
