Actor Aditya and veteran filmmaker Om Prakash Rao are teaming up for a new Kannada film titled Jilladhikari. The film was announced on the occasion of the Varamahalakshmi festival, with shooting scheduled to begin in the first week of September.

Om Prakash Rao is known for films such as AK 47, Lockup Death, Kalasipalya and Huchcha. Jilladhikari marks Aditya, known for his performance in Deadly Soma, and Om Prakash Rao’s second film together, following their earlier collaboration, Eshwar, which was shot but never released. Described as a mass commercial entertainer, Jilladhikari draws inspiration from certain real-life incidents. The director, however, has not revealed further details about the story or Aditya’s character, except that he plays a cop in the film.

Presented by Lalithamma and Sushila of Tiptur under the OPR Pictures banner, and produced by Umesh Sakkarenadu, Jilladhikari will have cinematography by Ravikumar, music by V Harikrishna, and story by Dennisa Prakash.

Rupa Siddagangaa makes her acting debut as the female lead opposite Aditya. The cast also includes Rockline Venkatesh, Bhaskar Shetty, Yashas Abhi, Smitha, Swara B, Achyuth Kumar, Rangayana Raghu, Avinash, Swastik Shankar, Sudha Belawadi and Umesh Sakkarenadu.

With production set to begin in September, the makers are expected to reveal more details about the film as the shoot progresses.
