The Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has an 18+ age restriction attached to its English trailer on YouTube. Viewers are required to be 18 or above to access the trailer, with the platform displaying an age warning before allowing users to watch the video.

Notably, the 18+ restriction is currently limited to the English trailer, while the Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions do not carry the same viewing restriction.

The restriction has drawn attention ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on August 26. While age restrictions on trailers are not uncommon, the warning on Toxic’s English trailer gives viewers an indication of the mature content featured in the promotional material.

The trailer features intense action, violence and explains the darker tone of the film. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is set against the backdrop of Goa’s criminal underworld and follows Yash’s character as he gets drawn into a world of crime, power and violence.

The film has also received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification in India, restricting its theatrical viewing to adult audiences.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film stars Yash in the lead, with Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.

The film is scheduled to release worldwide on August 26 in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
