Abishek Ambareesh has witty reply when asked about his next film

The actor was present at the Sathish Ninasam and Rachita Ram led Ayogya 2's pre-release event ahead of the film's theatrical release this week

A Sharadhaa

Abhishek Ambareesh may have skipped on giving an update for his next film, but he certainly got the audience laughing at the Ayogya 2 pre-release event.

The actor, who has been away from the big screen since Bad Manners (2023), was asked about his next project during an interaction at the event. Instead of revealing any plans, Abhishek responded with a witty one-liner.

"We're here to talk about Ayogya 2. Let's not talk about this Ayogya," he said, referring to himself. The remark was met with loud applause, whistles and laughter from the audience, and videos of the exchange have since been widely shared on social media.

The son of veteran actors Ambareesh and Sumalatha, Abhishek made his acting debut with Amar in 2019 before starring in Suri's Bad Manners (2023). Since then, there has been little movement on his acting front. Kaali, announced as his next film with a first-look poster released in 2023, and a possible collaboration with director with Mahesh Kumar, a project which widely discussed but never went on floors.

For now, however, Abhishek seems content letting the speculation continue. If his appearance at the Ayogya 2 event proved anything, it's that he's in no rush to talk about what's next—even if everyone else wants to know.
