Nagarjun Sharma, one of the most talked-about lyricists, has stepped beyond pen and paper to present Shubhashaya, a new album song that combines poetic writing with cinematic visuals. The track stars Pruthvi Ambaar as a painter and Anjali Anish as his muse, their chemistry setting the emotional tone for the narrative.
The launch was graced by director Tharun Kishore Sudhir and actor Sonal Monteiro, who unveiled the song and extended their wishes to the team. Calling the effort refreshing, Tharun said, “The song has come out really well. Today, audiences don’t differentiate between films, web series, or album songs — they welcome all formats. In the North, top actors are headlining albums, and Pruthvi and Anjali are beginning that trend here. The music is superb, and Nagaarjun is a wonderful talent with immense dedication. He has created something beautiful.”
Sonal Monteiro echoed the praise, noting the song’s striking visuals. “Every shot looks like a painting. The camerawork is stunning, and Muruga Master’s choreography is wonderful. Pruthvi was my co-star in his first film, and we’ve grown together in this industry as friends. Anjali looks amazing too. My best wishes to the entire team.”
With Jaskaran Singh’s vocals and Joe Costa’s music, Shubhashaya tells the story of a lover attending his ex-girlfriend’s wedding, only to offer blessings. Sharma’s lyrics carry the weight of unspoken love: “The day she left, I was dead… now I am only dust, yet I step forward to wish her well.”
Produced by Vaishnavi Films with Supriya Boregowda as co-producer, Shubhashaya is now streaming on the Vaishnavi Films YouTube channel.
